THE BUSH

I am going to explain the amazing trip we did to the Bush in Kruger Park. We woke up at 5 in the morning, it is 6 hours far from home... so we left at 6. After 3 hours at the car, we stopped to eat something, we stopped in Dullstroom a cute town and we ate pancakes, they were so nice!!! After having breakfast we continued our trip, we bought Biltong also... as soon as we entered the gate of the Kruger Park, you have to drive maximum 50km/h because there are no fences, and you might see wild animals, we saw giraffes, warthog (pumbas :D), and rhinos!! By 2pm we arrived to the lodge, it was so cozy, there where 15 little houses, with one room in each, I got the Zebra room :P, they advised us that during the night you can not go out your room because there might be wild animals, because there are no fences. 

There we ate lunch, next to warthogs, and kudus. At 3.30pm our first drive started, we were alone in the Land Rover. We found a Leopard lying, the night before he ate a warthog, you could see a part of it in the tree! After that we went to find the lions, and we found them, they were eating an impala! There where two females and one male, really really amazing to see them so close, and when they saw us, they did not move. After that it was already dark, we had some drinks and biltong before going back to the lodge. When we arrived to the lodge, they escorted us to the Booma, is the place where we were going to have dinner, is an open space with a fire in the middle and tables around. The dinner was great. We were so tired that we went to sleep, also escorted to our rooms. 

Voy a explicaros mi super viaje al Kruger Park, donde nos esperaban unos días magníficos! El domingo nos despertamos a las 5 de la mañana, había 6 horas de viaje! A las 6 salíamos de casa, y después de 3 horas, paramos en Dullstroom un pueblecito en medio de la nada, comimos pancakes, para recuperar, y compramos Biltong un embutido típico de sur África. Una vez dentro del parque, nos quedaban 50 km, y teníamos que ir a 50km/h, ya que no hay ningún tipo de barrera y hay la posibilidad de que te cruces con algún animal. De hecho vimos: jirafas, muchos "pumbas" ajaja y rinocerontes! Sobre las 2 llegamos al alojamiento, y nos explicaron que por la noche no podíamos salir de nuestras habitaciones porque en no hay barreras y podía ser que hubiera algún animal salvaje fuera. Mi habitación se llamaba Zebra, y era una pequeña casita. Comimos un poco, delante de más pumbas! y también de Kudus y Impalas (clases de antílopes). Hacia las 15.30 empezaba la primera salida, estábamos los 5 solos en un Land Rover!! Tuvimos mucha suerte, y encontramos un leopardo que estaba estirado descansando después de haberse comido un pumba, se podía ver en el  árbol la cabeza y sus tripas colgando... un poco desagradable!! Mientras continuaba la ruta, vimos muchos impalas, son como el McDonalds, están por todas partes jajaj Fuimos en busca de leones, y los encontramos, 3 leones, dos hembras y un macho, comiendo un pobre antílope. Es impresionante que no se inmutaran con nuestra presencia. Después comimos y bebimos algo en medio del safari, y volvimos al refugio. Ahí cenamos en el Booma, una sala exterior con un fuego en el medio de la sala y mesas alrededor. Estábamos muy cansados así que nos fuimos a dormir a las 9! Nos acompañaron a la habitación, porque cuando se hace de noche, ya no puedes andar solo.
